Would anyone know the cable lenght for Rear mounted DD_PCU running up to a Cat AT Blade on a D6-8U . I would imagine it would be close to the same as a Cat DDPCU set up

My book has 225 feet of half inch Mate ... regards pete.......ps.. a good ol unit ,, I use one on my 8U .

The drum capacity for a DDPCU is 225 feet.
A D7 with overhead gear uses 65ft.

OK ,thanks for that Andrew . My son thought about 30 metres. I guess the extra capasity is for cable scraper use .

Yeah and other uses, there was a wide drum version for crane use with extra capacity.
Put about 5 wraps on the drum with the blade on the ground.
