Hi Can anyone help with Information as to how I can get hold of Leroy , I bought a number of machines from him 5 years ago ( $17,500), the original plan was for him to deliver to Sacramento .

Tom Madden over the years has helped with an email nudge to encourage Leroy to make contact, and whilst He has then made contact precious little happens.

Tom has also more recently forwarded Leroys ph number but that does not answer

I Have offered to pay for fuel and then offered to pay for transport to try and get this sorted out but to no avail

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sell the Tractors to Tom if he has any pull, then buy them back? Do you have the ser# of what you bought? At least that would help an innocent party from getting sold an off limits unit - not that it would or has happened-.

I used an intermediary in Oregon not far from Leroy, and made payment upon delivery there which was reasonably close by.

Not to butt in and be nosey, but where is Leroy supposed to be from? Has anyone tried to contact him in person? $17,5 whether it be US or AU dollars is a lot for anyone. 5 years is excessive. Did someone broker this deal? JM

I made a purchase from Leroy last year. He was easy to deal with and delivered everything on time. It was a positive experience.

I have no doubt of that Erik, some folks who have Pmed me have found it takes months to get things shipped , so it does vary considerably

Tangent or Portland Oregon
I was a new arrival and had seen him sell things on here with satisfaction so assumed there would be little risk , as folks generally are very good in the collector space.

He did sell a Best 30 to down under in 2014 but somehow sorting out the 7 cats seemed problematic for him

but when dealing long distance there is always a risk people take your money and go to ground, earlier i did buy a couple of trucks from a serious cat collector in Omaha and went to ground burning $3k

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
