Looks like a nice project. Keep us updated of your progress!
Nice shop Kenny! And a nice future for that Twenty-Eight too : )
Kenny, Is that a power lift on the back end? That looks pretty neat!
Are you gonna take that pretty paint off of that brand new manifold to make it look aged like the rest of the machine?
If not the next thing you know you'll be painting everything else!!!
Good Luck and hopefully it won't take much more to get it going.
Wondering bout lift too? Front blade somehow or rear implement? I think i got a brochure showing a older gas job with a aftermarket power lift on it.... Unusual 4 sure!
Hi to all the Walkers!
Nice tractor project. I think it had a Hyster on it. Bill![]()
I doubt it was a Hyster, since it appears to be a tailseat tractor. I dont know what those lift bars would be, other than maybe being mounts for the tailseat brackets. Of course, I am guessing. Grant.
Thanks Seyser and Neil...... Hey Roby I am really going to try to not get into painting the rest of machine. I would like to resurrect one from the days gone by and not do much to it but let the age do all the talking through the rust and wear. I could use the old manifolds and just replace the rusted out drop tube but I got two sets of these new manifolds I bought a few years ago that are just itching for some smoke to come out of them. Man its been a while since seeing each other hope we can catch up sometime soon....
Thanks Bill for the pics you posted of the attachment and that's why I attached more pics of the rear take off unit, mounts on rear, and weld on pivots on frame. I am hoping for some insight as to what this powered if it was for sure a winch or something else. I don't plan on taking it off but would sure like to use it if I could find some attaching pieces for it. There are no signs of a front blade on it or any other brackets that would indicate a front blade. No weld marks on front frame either. Like I said thanks again for the interest and any information on this unit. Oh and thanks also Mike for your insight I cant believe its been since last fall at HCEA that we hung out together.![]()
I don't know anything about these hoist's but that is a real heavy bracket down on the drawbar and my guess would be that it had a hoist on it. Never seen brackets down that low and so heavy. catskinner
Those trunion mounts held something?? Most old dozers that era had mounts way rear of center.
