I bailed off into this forum looking for help. And damed fine help it is!๐ and that after rudely not introducing myself.
Although off and on a large part of my life has been working(playing) with mechanical things for $$$ and hobbies.
In the past i have owened automotive repair shops in the day of mechanics not technicians(parts changers.)
Have run municipal water systems.
Have helped run family construction co.(for 15years) Worked on the equipment until someone had the bright idea of giving me a contract to build! Next thing I knew was Gen superintendent.(Why Me?๐ฎ ) Some of the equipment that I still remember Lima 44 Brucyres 33 2 bantoms HD-6(allis) D-6 12E 2 case 450 JD 450 2 JD 400/hoe 4 JD 410 JD 310 turbo worthington 125cfm Jaeger 100cfm Jaeger 600cfm(for sheet pile hammer/extractor(Vulcan?) Parson 77 Parsons 155 Parson 250(heavy!) FMC sewer cleaner. Thats all I remember. Lots of smaller stuff--boring rigs, trucks ect.
Currently getting life in order for next round of chemo(spending money to make $)
That was work--now for play(long term hobby) Some of race cars in shop and newest car in front of shop.
Well--thought I could upload pics. Will have to resize and try later.
So I know a little about some and not much about all.
Welcome anyway David. There are a few here that used to work on critters for a living but quite a few of us are in the "learn and you go" mode. Helping others is fun. .ya never know when something will be in your particular field of expertise. Remember, the only truly stupid question is the one ya didn't ask๐
Hopefully the chemo will go smoothly. .been there and done that. Keep a sense of humor about life and tease hell out'a the nurses and doctors. .drives 'em crazy๐
