i found the cheapest place was our local dealer $7.50aud each. every where else was 15 to 20 bucks and they had to order them in so you also had freight.

Hi, trainzkid88.
Macnaught do make some GOOD stuff, including the best connector for normal zerks that I have ever come across. Heck, that one is even adjustable for wear, although Macnaught may not be aware of that themselves. When new, it grips so danged tight on zerks that you need to undo the sleeve that holds the chuck jaws a couple of turns to be able to get the connector OFF a zerk. Leave it that way and use it normally for a good while until it starts either leaking around zerks or slipping off them and then you can begin tightening the sleeve up again, a little at a time to compensate for wear.

They also make what I think is about the best hand pump for diesel fuel and/or oil in drums that I have ever seen, the GT-01, the top one on this page:

they also have repair kits for their couplers so you can fit a new set of jaws to them. nearly all couplers are like that but yes theirs do seem to grip better.

I changed over all our grease guns at work to the lever lock on coupler. Best thing we ever did. Less waste, does not pop off. Once it's locked on properly it won't come off unless you press the lever. Only issue is they are slightly larger in diameter than standard couplers. Replaced our old macnaught supergrip ones with them about two years ago and we have not had to replace any since. When we have to grease the conveyors we put about 5kg through our grease gun. That's about 12 cartridges.

Hi, PhilC.
I have used - very briefly - the lever lock couplers, good gear but not for some of our work - too big to access some recessed zerks, of which we have a few.

My first job in a machine shop 43yrs ago, I made thousands of parts to make button head grease fittings. All of them were done by hand.
The boss would never even give me one for a souvenir.
