Here is what I posted on the ACME site:
" Merv,
Thanks for the information.Never knew of the Allis buyout. I found my book titled "The Allis Chalmers Story" by C.H.Wendel. There it was. Built from 1947-1956 approx. 500 units. Heaped at 8-1/2 yds. Base weight of 10300 pds.
The book also has a listing for the C-20,C-40,C-44 and C-108. I found an operators/parts book on e-bay. Would be interested in seeing any other literature that is available."
The photo's that I put up are of a 106, D4D6 posted some of a 108. Look for the other thread here on ACMOC.

From what I can find the smaller models, C20-C44 were hydraulic. Looking at the information I have I do not think that what you have is a Laplante.
Do stand to be corrected.

The C-45 weighs about 4600#s The books claims it weighs 4200#s Somewhere I have weight tickets from the scale with the exact weight. That's Qball aka Kevin Flynn trying it out for the first time. If you buy it be careful running it becuase it tips very easily.

That model even looks tippy.....think I'd pass on that one.
Okay....I certainly don't want one that tips easily. So I think I will pass and keep looking. Thanks for your input guys .....😊
Cysco,
If you are going to pass on it, then pass along the link as to where its at.
OK?
