Kudos!!

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own world that we forget to thank those that are going the extra mile to help us out. Some of the first that come to mind are “fellas” like GWH and the work he has done to improve the organization and this board. Add to that the work of Joe Black as we are making progress on this board even as we speak. We cannot forget about others like Old Magnet that is our resident “swami” for answering questions. Old Magnet, I don’t see how you have time to go to the bathroom with all that you do to help others on this board!! The list goes on and on and there are many others that could be mentioned but just a note to let some of the folks know we appreciate what they have done!! 😉 Life is great!!
Kudos!!

Hi D4Jim,
Thanks for the Kudos, I really appreciate it.
The trick to being able to respond without to much effort is one, of course have the information; two, having it organized in a readily accessible form. Also helps to confine the material to certain models, of which I am partial to the Diesels.
Anyway thanks, kinda makes up for the ones I never hear a response from😄 😄

My D4 7U is inside this winter keeping warm and out of the mud, so I haven't been posting lately. I read this board everyday as do most of us. Hiway yellow is my favorite color and this great website assembled by Joe Black makes our hobby just that much better. Old Magnet and other posters here are appreciated by all. Yeah, even being organized, how does Old Magnet find time to go to the can? 😊 Thank you Old Magnet.

Thank you D4Jim. We may work to provide a forum, but it is the users, including Old Magnet, who make the site what it is. It has been a long haul, and it isn't over yet. We have still many registrations to process, and when that has slowed down, there are further modifications to the board that we know we need to carry out. Joe Black has done a lot of work on the board. Things go slowly, but at least there is movement.

As for the rest of the club, our new director, Lee Sorbel, a retired Cat employee, is working hard on getting the model committee and its work in order. They spend a lot of our money, and we need to know what is going on there. There has been lack of communication for years, and it is now getting fixed.

Don Dougherty, our treasurer, and Marci, our "gal Friday", have been working for over a year to get the financials straightened out. We have the money, the question is always where it is coming from and where does it go? If you don't know that, you can't build a budget so we all are on the same page.

Our newsletter will be the next big project, which we will start revising this year.

Our membership numbers are again beginning to head up, after stagnation for several years. The renewals have come in in good numbers, and sooner than in the recent past.

So something must be right. But it can always stand improvement.
