Wondering if anyone knows anything about a Koehring 6608? My brother is about to buy one for pretty cheap and it would be his first tracked machine. I can't give advice as I know nothing about them, if they were decently designed machines, or if they were a nightmare to own & operate etc.

Hi, ETD66SS.
I know nothing of the Koehring 6608 but Koehring seemed to be pretty widely accepted as being good, solid machines in their day. At one stage, they were the 'K' part of Nation, Chambers Koehring - NCK.

I believe the 6608 is in the 6 - 8 ton class.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
