thansk guys, we finally got some rain after the heat wave for the last week. today i started working on the yellow td-9 imported from a far away land which is in better shape then the td-9 which i paid a lot of money thinking it was in good shape. never judge a book by it cover.

red cat-- 2 broken gears in trans, crown and pinion chunks missing, steering clutched are junk-worn out and not even salvagable, track chains are cracked out plus the cat was dropped 150 feet though the ice and landed on a rock which shoved the track arm into the tub and bent the crown gear hub, both final drives were toast but fixable since the mechanic put the bearing housing in the wrong sides which blocked off the oil passages. i guess he didn't know there is left and rights.

yellow cat -- trans good and nice gears, crown and pinion no pits or rust, one steering clutch is rusted due to mouse nest, track chain are useable for snow, tub and frame rails are very good. final drives look and feel ok.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
