by the way, it has a very nice illustration of the final drive bearing adjustment. Including picture of the spanner wrench so you can build oneπŸ˜„
(I have the same book, but it's a little too new for my D6-2H)

If you want one covering the 9U you will have to get the 1947 up version. Form # 30027 printed 1953 seems to be the most common.

what was the model between the 2h and 9u1? The book I have is different than the 2H I have anyway. It shows 6 cyl engine and power assist steering.

The "R" series, 4R wide gage, 5R narrow comes in between. The engine is the D4600 4-1/4 bore, the "U" models used the D318 4-1/2 bore. The tractor itself has a lot of similarities to the later "U" series.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
