Oh wow, it has good looking tires on it too! Do you have any plans to add ripper shanks or a ditcher? That is an item that I have always wanted. I had chance to get a similar one from the sale in Byron, CA but was focused on other items. Great catch Brian!

I have one of those with steel wheels. Does yours have JOHN DEERE KILLIFER on the tag? My tag shows 2-02. I have not found much information on the internet about it.

Thank You all - John Deere was the companion to Caterpillar in many early dealerships until JD and Caterpillar forced them to separate. As such, John Deere implements were often tied to Caterpillar power. Many tend to forget the relationships between the different manufacturers and the dependency upon each other for the survival of the dealers and the end users. Caterpillar was not unique in dependency upon other manufactures to supply components to their machines, often same components on many other makes. -- cts

Have a ditcher and boarder maker to attach. A 2-02 would be a newer version

We got deep into Killefer tillage tools several years ago on here. Had some nice sale piece of different options. It will take someone much smarter than me to find it.

This is a newer piece than anything else I have seen in the Killefer line with the rubber tires on it. The other thread everything was still steel wheels. Very nice find.

Speaking of John Deere/Caterpillar relationships - someone out there can maybe jump in and share some pictures from the 1930's to 1950's showing Caterpillar, IH, AC crawlers pulling John Deere 17's and 36's in the muddy rice fields of California. -cts
