Not a scam, we post through an online service and they have printing facilities all over the world, so we don't know where a specific card will mail from. My guess is they print them wherever they get the best postage rates for a given locale and/or where they have printing capacity.
Usually the cards go out near the end of the month prior to your membership expiring, we're still working with the new software, so there is a chance you may get a card when you have paid your dues already due to a database error, but those should be few and far between at this point. There are always a few days between when the postcard list is generated and the time they actually mail and then time in transit. I believe most of the database errors have been corrected, but there isn't a lot we can do if a member renews on or shortly after the date the mailing list is generated and gets a card after they have renewed just because the wheels are in motion at that point and we don't have the ability to pull individual cards.

Is the automatic membership renewal function still intact or has that fallen by the wayside as well?
The default is auto renewal on the system but that can be opted out of if needed.
I am wondering if we get some kind of documentation that we are a member if i go to a show to prove i am a member or do i show a screenshot of the invoice on the phone. I joined at the start of August. I am in Australia so if any documents are coming i guess it all takes time.
I received multiple cards the same day a couple weeks back. This was on top of several emails about an expired membership which I had renewed 3+ months ago. These are the basics, it is very important to do it right. I have corresponded probably close to 10 times to correct the issues with my membership with no corrective action.
