^Thats very interesting Art!!---He and I made a deal on it and I was supposed to pick it up the first week of June. Be very carefull that someone else doesn't come along and claims he sold it to them also!!
Hey Artreed,
I tried to do a search on Zilch and That Zilch, but came up dry. Is it spelled correctly. From reading both comments, everyone should stay away from this guy.-glen
He did not give Full user name Glenn . Here is the Post .

Yes IanOz,
Did a search and found it too. Thank You. Ran when parked. Buyer Beware. The comment about another person was supposed to buy it too, is not good.
Hey ArtReed,
I was moving a D-4 or Rd-4, can't remember, for Ed Akin It had been in a flood. The tracks were frozen solid. I was winching it on the lowbed, dragging it, when the front of the track stopped on a cross bar welded to the ramp of the lowbed. The winch was pretty beefy and didn't stop. It didn't take much, then "Pop", the tractor started rolling just fine. Maybe you could chain the bottom of the tracks to a tree or something, and pull with something large, or a winch. Worked for me. Soaking them in desiel, or loose juice won't hurt either.
Hello Dan,
This is disturbing! I'm not sure what to do. He made no mention of anyone else interested in the machine except for a local scrapper, much less accepting an offer from someone else.
I had no intentions of trying to undermine someone elses deal.
I will make a phone call to Eamonn Clancy in the morning. my E-mail is [email protected]... lets work this out

wow, easy guys. i sold the machine to Art, i wrote him a receipt. there is no funny-business going on here what-so-ever. first come-first served, as with anything for sale between two individuals. when someone says they will come and buy something, 99% of the time they are a no-show. i have left work early WAY too many times to some meet a buyer and have them no show up.
Art showed up first, made an offer, i accepted, and that was that. no one else, aside from the scrapper, came to look at, or put any deposit/purchase money in my hand. Art did not undermine any one else's deal, and his machine will be sitting in my yard when he comes to get it. i have sold another machine to someone on here, and there was no issue what-so-ever with the transaction.
as for the machine itself, it (as Art understands) has become unable to roll on its tracks. it used to roll just fine, and i could tow it with my 45hp tractor. it will now make my f450 spin its duals trying to pull it. it does not appear an issue with the tracks themselves. if anyone has any tricks to try, i will gladly try them so the machine is easier to load when Art comes and gets it.
i never said it ran when parked-i said i was told it ran 2 years ago. upon finding out that it did not roll, i immediatly called Art, before he came to see it, to tell him the situation, so that if he was no longer interested he did not waste his time coming to see it. i am being completely honest about the machine, and i guarantee Art a smooth transaction, and will do anything to make sure he gets it home.
feel free to call me Art, i assure you there are no problems here
Not gonna comment on the transaction but I did go pick up a 30 one time that was sunk in the sand to the middle of the track frames with a tree growing through the sprocket. Used a railroad jack to pick each side up and placed a grader blade under tracks. Used winch on trailer and another tractor w/ cable to pull up on gooseneck. Just kept blades under tracks all the way up.
I cut tree out and washed sand out. When we pulled it off trailer it slipped off blades, tracks caught dovetail & each one broke loose.

Its probably the brake bands stuck on the drums. Someone will have a post on here showing adjuster location and cover plate. OM just posted where the drain plugs are on a later D2. Crawl underneath and remove these to drain out the water/condensation. Then leave them out and loosen the brake bands or put them in and fill the clutch compartments with diesel or kerosene, winch it on the trailer, then haul it home. Riding full on a trailer will wash out all the rust and crap which will probably/maybe free up the stickybrakes by the time you get it home.
My 2 cents!
