That is great news I should start taking offers but probably not maybe i should increase insurance values or just wait for the premiums to go up to help him pay for his new toy just kidding later chuck
Last week an individual bid a 5u at Chico, Ca for the tidy sum of 10,250.00;
That did not include buyer premium of 13% plus an additional state sales tax of 2 to 7.75%apparently the buyer wanted that tractor! Sir, if you are out there, I have plenty of yellow crawlers I am tempted to part with. Juiceman
Speaking of auctions there is a new tellie program here in Tassie that covers the Richie Bros auctions in Canada and I was amazed to see Cat D11's and other huge machinery being auctioned off like cattle in a round yard. And the prices!! Absolute bargains could be had.
But then again, there was a 10 year old GMC service vehicle at the same auction that was predicted to sell for 60K US but which sold for 110K or nearly new replacement cost - the reason, two buyers got caught in a dual to win.
Naturally the owner was very pleased with the outcome.
I saw the same at an auction recently where two toddlers fought over a D2 5U lollypop which resulted in a tit-for-tat bidding war and an Au $12k+ with taxes and charges price tag for the winner😊
Apart from the sheer enjoyment of watching two grown men trying to out do each other's wallets, my thoughts quickly turned to the value of the D25U sitting in my shed and which cost me 6k just a year before the auction and which is now probably worth double or triple that😊
I even managed to convice the home government to allow me to purchase another D2 and the kids have stopped moaning about me spending their inheritance on rust:tongue:
Hey Juiceman,
You just want some of that "Juice". Hahaha
Good to see you at the truck show. You've got a nice rig, and D6-9u too. glen
