I had looked for this missing part from my grandfathers Cat 22 for several years and had given up on finding it. Then the other day while fixing fence there it was! I guess my granddad thought it made a better fence post.😄

some things turn up in the strangest of places thats good that it turned up always seems to be the last place you expect

In my family, they must have had an overabundance of plows. Over the past few years I've torn out fence that used old plow beams placed in concrete.

Made for a strong fence and a good place from which to stretch wire, but really ugly!

I was lucky, no cement! It seems like anything was fair game to use as a fencepost, I've run across pipes, implement parts, bed rails, part of a 1950's excello lawnmower and even heard about a sharps buffalo rifle barrel being used as a corner brace stake. Maybe I'll find the sparkplug cover missing from the Thirty in another fence line. 😄
