D4Angelo has a tractor that often sports an umbrella. I recall placing the mount on the left side in line with back of vertical section of the tank or seat back. You would want the umbrella to hang directly over your head for maximum shade/sitting level. Depends on what kind of umbrella mount as well. Seen some guys make a custom bracket that would be directly behind the operator, but those were different and shorter than the Snowco that were adjustable. Sorry, no pics here. JM

My umbrella bracket is hidden behind the armrest. It is just a flat plate bolted to the armrest frame. Round stock welded to plate that is bolted onto frame.

This helps me also. Thanks D4angelo. Some time I'd like to make one up from scratch for my 7U. I can't seem to find a similar operator umbrella for sale here in Australia.

Tractor Supply has the umbrella's in stock with different color options. I discarded the lower frame setup that comes with the kit. I just used the "J" shaped upright frame and the spider frame that holds the fabric in place.

Only you guys that have sun need those things. We haven't had sun here for 3 weeks - been pouring with rain, and now that it's stopped, all the smoke from CA is turning our sun red. Been hell trying to get on the golf course : )
I'll have to whip down to the local Tractor Supply to see what they have on hand and get one set up on my 5U.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
