Hydraulic oil in 955L ... What kind & how much?

How much hydraulic oil should a 955L track loaderhold? We have already put 4 gallons in it. It didn't show up in site glass and now I wonder if It needed to be running for it to show up in the site glass.

Also the manual calls for 10W, but the guy I bought if from said that I should use straight 30.

Hydraulic system holds 37 gallons.
Hydraulic oil SAE10W for -4 to 122 deg. F.
Engine oil or diesel engine oil SAE30 for 50 to 122 deg. F.
