Here we go again🙄 🙄
I'd be checking what they are supposed to fit first, remember your serial number D6 only shares the guide with the early double spring arrangement. Everything else is a different part number and probably dimension to.
If I had to guess as to who those units were made by I would say Frank Cline Tractor Service out of Arcadia, Florida who had patent and manufacturing rights. No telling if they exist any more or not. The info I have says they were located at 1420 E. Oak St in Arcadia......phone🙄 WALnut 8-8351 Rt. 1, Box 49
Built units for the 9U and others.........$245/pr.....in May of 1967
As far as seals I would think any good hydraulic service/repair operation would be able to match up replacements based on dimensions.
O.M. - You never cease to amaze me! That's good history. Figured that these were pretty uncommon, scarce, etc. Wonder if anyone is running some right now? Going to a hydraulic shop to see what they can fix up. Seems that they each have only (2) seals on the main shaft. Does that sound like what you are thinking of ?
What kind of rise or protusion from the shaft outward would you guess that they use ? That is , what height on the seal from the 'face' of the (inner) shaft? Or put another way, what dimension between the sealing surfaces?
thanks for the info....
