Need to remove the governor housing and then the injection housing on a D4 5T.
I think I have all the bolts out and the governor housing is loose but will not come off.
If there something inside that needs to be un-bolted or disconnected to remove the housing????
Thanks. Neil

There has to be a link to the rack to be disconnected.

One from the back end as you take the governor housing off and another from the front when you take the IP housing away from the drive/governor flyweight mechanism up front.

Sorry, I don't have any books to post pictures out of.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

The 5T doesn't have the flyweight mechanism up front. It's built in to the governor.

Yes the flyweight mechanism is built in to the governor. Is there something that needs to be disconnected
in the governor housing to get it to slide off?? Neil

There must be a connection from governor to the rack in the injection pump housing.
