I quite often see various manuals for cable operated blades and hydrualic controls without really understanding which crawlers used them

is there an easy reference point? ie I have a D8 8R which has a cable operated blade so what parts manual would suit this? or hydraulic controls for a D2

thankyou

There isn't any easy way in (list) that I know of. Original sales literature might describe the system but best bet is through the blade serial number. Even this route doesn't always describe the hydraulic or cable controls used but reference to the application usually can be found in the cable or hydraulic controls parts manuals. In short you need a library of CCU's, blades and hydraulic controls to maneuver around the various applications.

Your 8R blade and CCU installation is covered in Form #30055 for serial numbers
7A1001 to 7A4642, 8A1001 to 8A4734, 11C5001-up.
The actual CCU parts book is yet another manual, based on model and serial number.

The D2 can be straight, angled or toolbar versions and operated by #44 or #41 hydraulic controls.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
