I have a D24U that does not have a top track roller. I think they were available on some models. I'm wondering if it would be practical or desireable to add them??
Jim
PS: the 6 volt generator is not working. Any recommendations where to take it for repair in Arkansas?

No reason you couldn't add carrier rollers and not that hard to do once you have the parts.

I,m sure if you,d check with a local auto or truck repair shop they could guide you to a shop that does generator work.

Oldmagnet, Thank you for the reply and thumbnail. I guess there is no real reason for me to add a roller on my "Kitty". Do you suppose the mounting holes are already there and I could just bolt them on?

SJ, I'll call around this week and see if I can find a shop. First, I need to get the hydraulic hoses replaced so I can get the "Kitty" out of the hole it is in and back to the barn so I can work on it.

Ya know I never looked at a D2 track frame that didn't have a carrier roller to see if it had the mounting provision but I'd bet it does.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
