This is on display at the Plantation Agriculture Museum in Scott, Arkansas near Little Rock. There was no information displayed and no serial number tag on the engine. However, it appears it was used to power a small cotton gin. While it is in rough shape, I thought it would make a good post. If you are near there, I would recommend visiting the museum. The indoor exhibits gives a unique look into the daily life of those who worked and lived on a plantation in the '20's to the '70's. The outdoor exhibits include a few steam tractors, early gasoline tractors, and three early cotton pickers. Plus, there is a very nice reproduction of a full scale gin powered by a large Ingersoll Rand engine.
