Had a call from one of our members a couple days ago , He had just recently arrived back from North Qld after a trip to pick up a 3j and 5u D2 . 5U has a full Toolbar set up . He had spoken with the seller over the last 20 odd Years , and He asked what had happened to the High Ten that he had seen in the Scrub , The Old Owner said I think someone has taken it , He went looking where he remembered seeing it and Found it, deep in the scrub . OK He brought it back , Much missing or rusted out , but Basics are all there , He searched all over for a serial No , and couldn't find anything , rang Me and I said the little flat plate below head on Left side , cleaned that and Nothing and then I said is there a small "Bloc' above Carby and came back said Yes . But no Number . so I suggested it may have had a new Blocked fitted unnumbered, It was definitely a Ten as it had the Firewall , But grinding and rubbing every place He could looking for S/N he said only 2 Layers of Yellow paint no Grey at all . Led me to think it must be one of the last tens that were Painted Yellow . OK, talking to Lyoncat [Thanks Mike ] he said look on Gearbox on left side just in front of Clutch adjusting Plate there is a Small flat spot and it will be there , Told our man this and He cleaned it up came back No couldn't find it , I said I had a look at one of mine and I found it OK , so Ground deeper and found it " 4082" . So another Hi Ten found . Certainly some Hi Tens and Fifteen's were sold in North Qld , How many we will never know , another Friend found one a few Months back in Good Shape . LJ

I'm picturing a guy that looks a lot like Indiana Jones, carving a path through dence jungle with a machete. Trusty bullwhip on his hip, gorgeous blonde by his side. Finally, just as dawn breaks, there it is! The high Ten fortold in the legend.....

I've been spraying weeds down in the barnyard, perhaps the fumes are getting to me😊

Congratulations on the find!

Bruce, can you tell me the name of that weed killer? The one I use just makes me feel sick and not about finding tractors! Good story Lance.

Rt-3 with Vendetta for good broadleaf action. Actually I can't blame the spray, I'm naturally silly.

Keep spraying Bruce. Might be easier to find a high Ten in there.

If it as a raised block above carb it may be a small high 15, or maybe a hybrid

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
