Hi all,
I need some help identifying an old pull behind grader for my dad, which he wants to restore and put to use. Ideally we would like to get our hands on a repair manual.
I originally posted here at eavyequipmentforums.com but was referred here, so thought I would post here as well.
We can't find a full nameplate on the machine, only the few numbers shown in the photos.
The few numbers I can see are:
Patent nr: can't make it out but will ask my dad, I think it will be legible in person. I'm not sure if this will be the patent number for the whole machine though, but will update once I have that.
Some random nr: 8b4859 (Googling this doesn't show anything useful)
Grader nr: 2J 518. I think this might be a line number and not a model number since Googling only shows a CAT skidder model 518, which is something different of course.
Apart from the attached photos, here is a link to a high quality zoomed in video that might also help: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZ1LDm5Z4LIJ2Jml835IH5Pgh1zA1HWqJLok
Update:
It looks like the site might be broken and I'm not able to attach photos, so sharing a link to a cloud folder with the photos: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZmyTm5Zm1KhhtGp00f9nPBAdftB9BcUfjGy
2J 518 is a #33 grader.
Bingo! Thanks Josh. Looking at pics of the 33 that looks spot on.
Any idea where I could find a repair and or owners manual for a 33? I see I could buy them online, which I don’t mind to do if necessary, but feel like there might be some pdfs floating around on the web already.
Hi Mike, we have a parts catalog in our Library that covers your serial number. You can gain access to the Library by joining as a paid-up member. It's not a lot of $ and you get full access to hundreds of parts catalogs, serviceman's references, operating manuals, etc. You can find the link to the Library under the Members link at the top of the page
