Hi folks,
I thought perhaps everyone would be interested in the Historical Construction Equipment Association, 2010 National Show. Hosted by the Northeast Rockbusters Chapter of the HCEA

Here is a link to my web gallery the day before the show. Show runs Friday through Sunday Sept 10-12 in Richmond Rhode Island USA. Stop by if you are in the area.

I have not captioned thes pics & will do so at some time. But for now, the Marion M43 is owned by Dave Burnham of RI.

The TC-12 was hauled in one piece.

One sweet sounding Kenny hauled in a 1 3/4 yard link belt. The driver said they told him weighed in a 110,000L lbs, he said it felt quite a bit heavier.

The Mack B83 is owned by long time Boston area contractor James W Flett as is the nice example of a Sterling White on the trailer.

A nice D7 & a twenty two round out the pics.

I will post more tomorrow night & throughout the weekend when I return to to my motel each night.

Very nice pictures Warren....

The weather looks great! Some nice equipment too! That TC12 is a beauty...but are they painting the blade...right over the rust?? I suppose they ran out of time and have to get it looking good for the show! Which it will look good.

Can't wait for more pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Good grief. .just looking at that TC 12 makes my earbones ache๐Ÿ˜† A mine in Nevada bought one of those beasts brand spanking new complete with a Garwood 3 tooth ripper back in the early 60's. .and I got to run it for a few days. It wouldn't rip any better than the Euc 6's they had so it was relegated to the status of pusher for the cans they were running. Unmuffled screamers in stereo is the best description I can think of for it. Maybe that's where my hearing went???

Had a great day today, it was cool & partly cloudy. No rain & bunch more machinery showered up.

Pat they threw some paint at the blade after they assembled it. I spoke with the owner & and if I understood him correctly, the blade has been sitting in Colchester CT since the 2008 HCEA show at the show grounds. The tractor was at home & got an DuPont overhaul & some work done to it as well.

I added some additional pics tonight. More tomorrow. Same link as the yesterdays batch http://wthomasjones.smugmug.com/gallery/13702832_DEe4S#1001378807_f7Grh

Thanks for looking.

Warren...

Great pictures...especially #7624. The sky is so blue! It is a wonderful shot from atop of the pile.
That TC12 is pretty stunning...I've never seen one personally...but I'll bet it is loud too! Twin Detroits barking at everything in its way.

It's always nice to see the shovels and draglines all working too. Those trucks look great! They have "solid" written all over them!

Now I wish I had gone...looks like perfect play days...

Thanks again Warren...keep those pictures coming!

That TC12 belongs to Beavers. I'm sure those fellows are missing me with my Dandy Dave's Lil Digger this year which is a home shop built one cubic foot swing shovel. I'm stuck around home as my Mother has dementia and altzimers and I can't be far away at this time. Working on moving in with her this week. Had to take her car away as she got lost driving. Sometimes life just gets in the way. ๐Ÿ˜ž Dandy Dave!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
