Merry Christmas All. Here is a great story of generosity.

Just before Xmas, I received my quarterly HCEA Magazine Iss 131 which included notification to all HCEA members of the generosity of Mr Bernard Parolek, Fremont, Nebraska who had “bequeathed his estate to a number of favoured non-profit organisations”. HCEA is the recipient of USD 51,826.05 for their building fund. Bernard Parolek was not a business owner with dozens of items of equipment. This humble man, whose story I have copied from the HCEA Magazine (see attached) was a Seebee and interstate trucker; with a life-long passion for earthmoving equipment. His contribution “earmarked” for the HCEA building program will be of enormous assistance to that long term and legacy project. The HCEA Directors have honoured this man and notified members of his generosity.

I would trust that if a similar bequest was ever made to ACMOC that all members and BB regulars would also be notified by the ACMOC Directors, as HCEA have done.(and in a timely manner).

If any ACMOC BB members knew Bernard Parolek, I for one would be interested to hear his story. Please post.

Ok - So I must have been too obscure in my previous post. I will be more direct....

Question for the Directors: Was ACMOC the recipient of a distribution $$ from the Estate of Bernard Parolek?? If yes, what is it planned for the use of these funds??

The world doesn't wait for the printed magazine, and this man deserves prompt recognition not "in due course"!!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
