I loaded the D6-9u and The No. 60 pull scraper up. They just both got a fresh paint job. My brother and I are leaving after a meeting in the morning. 2500 miles +/- each way. Shure is a lot of miles to make dust fly😄 -glen

Hey D4-e,

No I'm still looking. My mechanic found one, but they wanted a down payment for a house for it. LOL I loaded the D6-9u on my three axle hook lift truck with a flat deck on her back. It's a 2005 357 Pete with a C-15 Cat detuned down to 400 hp with an allison automatic. Air ride, air cab, air seat,😄 cruise controll with ac. It's like driving a cadillac. It's pulling a trailer with the scraper on it, and I was able to even leave the two cable still hooked up to the ccu😛 . -glen

Glen, Post some pix. Sounds like you are going to have a relaxing trip, nice power and auto trans to boot. I just talked to a guy with a belly pan for you D6. $ 200.00. I know you are heading east this morning. I can pm the contact or you can call me 714- 984-3616. John

it does not look like you have at least four way independant tie downs on the load. NCDOT have really cracked down on this with big fines. They want at least four seperate chains and binders on every item loaded.

Glen, when I was going to haul my D8 to Carl's play day you gave me a pep talk on chaining cats down properly. Looks like you only have one chain running through the draw bar and your on a metal deck 😮 . You would have probably gave me an ass chewin if I did that.... so be careful and use a chain for each corner.

If you want to be like me you have to make it all the way back to Maine 😄 . I put 3,200 miles (round trip) on Big Red and left it in Kansas, then took the Harley up to the New England area to visit other BB members. Total of 5,600 miles on the bike when I got back to Kansas. Man it felt good to ride home sitting on the KW's comfy air seat 😊

I know this is hard for you but I hope your able to relax and not be the hardest worker at the play day. Have a good trip. M-

Glen, if you have time around Chicago give me a call 847-508-7378. Alan Smith's place is worth stopping for. If your on I-80 I could meet you and give you a ride up there.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
