The Kern County Fair is currently under way.

Garlic Pete and MikeMc displayed their dozers last year and repeated this year. They displayed with the Central Valley (~Fresno area) EDGE & TA Branch 8 group. Pete called me several weeks ago and asked if he could include my JD BR also. He, his mother 'Garlic Mom', and his two daughters came over here a couple of weeks ago and picked up the BR and an old Molene two bottom plow to add to their display. Pete displayed the Bloom family's RD7 and D2 with Mike displaying his Hi Output D8 (sans blade) and Garlic Mom her 1927 International PU. The crawlers were joined by a Struck Magnatrac.
From the right- Mike's HO 8, Pete's RD7, my wife Marianne, Mikes D4, Pete's D2, and the Magnatrac.

Shots of the Dustbowl display by the Lamont Women's Club featuring Garlic Mom's 27 International PU (note the short range gas tank). Garlic Mom lives between Arvin and Lamont and is only a couple of miles from the Sunset Labor Camp (Grapes of Wrath).

Daron, Thanks for posting pics of my D8!

I let it idle for 8 hours and it didn't even slobber on any pretty John Deers 😄

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
