Hey guys..how are you doing? I picked up an 08 branson 2910i. It came with a boxblade, bushhog and tiller. Had a few hundred hours. All for about $12,000..So far been pleased until I decided to get a speeco post hole digger. After some assembly and oil fill I decided to mount the phd and ran into a defect I guess. The boom mount wont slide into the gusset to get pinned. Has anyone ever encountered this?..I removed the top center link which the other attachments require. Went to stick the boom end in there and it was too wide.
Sorry this isnt a cat ? and will understand if deleted. Is there a chance that the phd has a bad U bracket welded on there?

Thanks Paul. I probably will return this phd because of this and the fact that the U bracket was welded crooked and off center ..I just thought there would be a manufacturing standard when it came to implement hook ups. A standard dimension..The U bracket is flared pretty good on the leading edge. I thought if I could get some heat on it maybe I could bend it down to square. I dont know. Thats what I get for buying Chinese I guess.

In a couple years use this will fit right up as the almost right part will fit the made in USA made right implement. I like to buy older made in USA implement s if I can just because of this stuff.

I hear ya. Well said!.
..messed with it a bit today. Did some heat and straightening. The whole damn thing looks pretty decent except where she mounts. The pics show the poor welds and off centering..

Maybe its supposed to be off center. Try putting one leg in the middle of the tractor bracket and one on the outside. That might where the offset comes in. Just my opinion.

Chuck, at first I did consider doing just that..well after scratching head and a few cursewords. The result of trying to mount on part of tractor bracket was that the pin wasnt long enough to pass thru completely. Also there was alot of play and sloppiness. .

So after alot of thinking I'm gonna take Paul's advice and grind down the sides. Did some measuring after I did the straightening with heat and it will still be about 1/8" too thick. Therefore I'm gonna remove about 1/16" from both outer sides. The boom is too cumbersome to hold up to my benchgrinder. So any ideas to do this?..handtool? right angle grinder?
