As far as I ever saw them yours still should be 24V if that,s what your system is.
Thank you SJ.
They are not connected now and I didn't want to burn them up if they were 12 volt
Thanks
Use an ohmeter to measure the resistance form a glow plug terminal (just 1) to ground. You do not need to have the glow plug out of the precomp
24 volts across 3.4 ohms results in 7 amps
12 volts across 1.7 ohms results In 7 amps
Voltage = current x resistance
Thank you bobcat311
If they are bad, are they available items ?
The book shows them as 3H2033
Thanks
Yes they are, here is a link to them.

Thanks Kevin,
Here is a question, sort of on the subject. I have a VW Rabbit that will not start unless you use the glow plugs. Turn the key to first position, and when the glow plug light goes out, turn the key the rest of the way and it starts almost instantly. I also have an 806 Farmall that has no glow plugs at all and it will start with very few rotations of the motor. Strange how one is so dependant of them and one has no need at all. Anyone know why?
Thanks
Compression ratio and final compression pressure.
