Hi Everyone,

Last week I had the opportunity to watch George hot rivet some Caterpillar Sixty rock guards using his forge and metal worker. You won't believe it, but it took George less than five minutes to crank out one rock guard. I've known George for about 25 years now. I first met him when he was the shop foreman for Hardy Harvester in College City. Hardy Harvester and George Rankin have always had a reputation for manufacturing top quality equipment and parts.

I took some pictures and made them into a short YouTube video to show off George's handiwork.

Jess

Oh that's interesting that your Friend George worked there at the Hardy Harvester. I've always been interested in that place. Now I finally say I know of someone who worked there. We rented out Betty's house there on the lot of the Hardy Harvesters a couple years back, and ever since, I've gotten a great interest for the Hardy Harvester!

If I remember from talking to George's wife they had a chance to buy Hardy before they closed. As far as I am concerned George is one of the best at what is does.
Thanks

George's workmanship is outstanding, but he needs safety glasses and ear protection - Safety is number 1!

Thank you Mike for refreshing this. I have chatted with George at a number of shows but it is cool to get a peek of him in his shop. Nice old ironworking machinery still going at it also.
