I am not sure if you are really looking for exact replacement gauges or not but I found some gauges that are pretty darn close. I picked them up at an old tractor supply store. They were sitting up on the shelf and all dusty. They look pretty good. Again they not original caterpillar gauges. It just depends on what you are trying to do. If you are interested I can send you the info on them!

There are a couple diff styles the most common Ive seen are the Bezel Glass Syphons and have never heard of source for any of them new unless your lucky enough to find some NOS(goodluck). But you can use your old one or buy an old one and have it rebuilt like new, kinda pricey. For that you need to talk to Dozerman51 because he went thru a few companies til he got a good rebuilder

Thanks I have new style guages on mine from cat. The way i understand the dash guages used to have a large flange on them. the cat dealer got me some buckets that bolt in the dash. then a new style guage bolts to them. I wish I had originals to rebuild but some one years ago put CASE guages in it So I have a nice set of old case guages. I found a original oil press guage that shows cat in one spot and SW in the other still in the bag and box. I took my D 2 for a drive up my street tonight and came back left nice cleat marks on the asphalt, I will catch heck from the street super when he sees that. Im going to get the dozer painted and go get on the city snow pile and pushsnow up to the top. Show up the guys with there 850 john deers....
mabey I should find a cab for it next. Thanks for your help.

Hey Willie, could you tell me how to get in touch with Dozerman51? I have some original Sylphon gauges to get rebuilt, and need info on rebuilders.
Thanks, John

Hello Oldparker,
The Rebuilder I had my gauges sent to is : APT Instruments Intl, Inc. 9632 Humboldt Ave. Bloomington, MN. 55431. (952) 881-7095. www.gaugeguys.com.They restored my Sylphon Oil and Fuel pressure gauge dials. They did a great job. They also repaired my Beveled glass Stewart-Warner temp gauge. I had the face dial of this gauge done somewhere else, but APT replaced the Bourbon tube to get it working right again. None of this came cheap, so be prepared to spend around $600.00 if you want nice looking original gauges in your Cat. Those cheap small face gauges that Cat came out with in the 1950's are garbage compared to the earlier large face beveled glass ones. I posted two pic's of my gauges on the BB on 01-29-09 under the heading "Instrument pic try #2". Take a look it you haven't already. Hope this info helps.😄
