Hi JM, I believe the 28 crawler tractor used the same engine.

Unless it's really 1M88, you have a 112 grader made in 1942 from the information I have. Old Magnet has the engine specs pegged.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Sorry about the mistake! The grader in question is an 8M88. No 212 gas motor single wheel drive. Bill

After looking at Erik's Chapter 12 info, apparently the motor is a 3-1/4 X 5 same as an R 2. Was this used in anything else and does it have a specific model no. ( such as 3400 or 4400 for example ) ? Thanks all!

That's 3-3/4" bore x 5" stroke 3400G engine.
R2 option is it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
