WE have been parting out a Cat gas 50, and have run into a road block.
The engine has been stripped down to the block and crank. The question is how do you separate the engine from the the transmission. we removed all the bolts, but the block will only move out about 3/8ths of an inch. It acts like the transmission input shaft spline are stuck to the clutch.

Thank you;🥱
Who ever called me at 6AM yesterday morning. After looking through the upper and lower inspection plates we could see what we missed. Even though the engine is supported by a jack and hanging on a chain, for safety, we will put a couple of the bolts back in the bell housing, then remove the clutch coupler bolts. should do the trick.
Oh by the way it is a good clutch if some one is need of a gas 50 clutch.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
