Had a very eventful weekend with the d69u. We checked filled fluids and tried to drag it with my d2. No go. Ended up getting a farmer with a large tractor to pull it. After some smoke it started! The engine extremely well. Everything work except the left turn and three of the upper rollers are locked. So will be working on that and asking about removal. Does cat have those button grease zerks?

The next day we drove through Bartlett ne to pick up a Kaiser dragon for my brother. On the way we ran into this d7 serial 3t297sp. Tractor was rough but the blade was really really nice. It was a 7s. Wish it would work on my d6. It is available. The same older gentleman had the two scrapers in the trees. They are also available but beyond my capabilities. The d7 is a 1944 and I can see army green under the yellow. Was a very interesting day. I will be asking questions later on the steering clutch after I look through archives a bit.

More pics. If anyone is after a d7 I would go in on it if I ended up with the blade. The pony turns nice.

Sounds like a result !! Nice work , Not sure if you can still get the button head zerks but if your rollers have a pipe plug they might be the semi sealed type and use oil rather than semi fluid grease ....

Button Head Zerks can be procured through McMaster-Carr. They are also available on EBay, just be sure to check your size before ordering through either source.
