Guys,

Need some expert advice here. I rebuilt the transfer pump on my d4-6u6852 thinking that was the problem with fuel in oil because it was also dripping fuel. Turns out it still loaded her up with diesel :thumbdn2: !!!! So i changed both seals in the injector pump, put it all back together, bled-fired runnin like a champ thinking all is well. Went to dump the diesel out of the pan and it keeps a steady stream. Drained fuel tower, shut diesel valve off at tank and still have a steady stream of diesel coming out of the pan :cussing: Please help, I'm at wits end

Thanks Jeremy

There is an o- ring between the filter housing and injection pump that gets bad after many years. The fuel leaks down to the drive for the pump and into the lower filter housing into the pan.

I missed the part where you replaced the seals. maybe the seals in the transfer pump arent compressed or damaged?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
