This happens when the final straw, the one extra diversion confronts the operator. Not even close to a problem, but annoying.
You don't need this when flying, as bad things can follow the last overload event.
Dead silence and flooded pony. So, go get another tractor to dig this one back to a fairly level spot.
The last time was same side angle, but pointing uphill. I used a hand operated logging winch to pull it out. 15 years ago.
It won't happen again.

New owner D2 5u.
Put on the electric starter, that PO never did. 😊
but no battery installed.
just temp it on the track then take it back off.

Great if I did not stall it.😠
Get battery (big 8D) back out and hooked up and try it again.
Put battery away and try driving it again.
better luck this time.

Oh well, misery loves company. At least you had something else to rescue with..😊

Tractor looks pretty good,, Any pictures to email or posted anywhere.
Looking for reference photos. So I can get mine on the better looking list.

Stuck left clutch. Dang

Sometimes, it's not flooded, just the tank is a little low on gas and the angle is preventing the fuel from getting to the elevated fuel line outlet. Try adding a pint of two of gas to top off the tank next time. Same angle, same problem for me, added a bit of gas and away she went.

Same here with mine B4D2, so check that Eric. Been on all kinds of slope in mid/northern California, in all directions. When quittin time came around, it came around! Only gripe I have with a pony pull is when yer on the trailer tryin' ta balance and still get a "full pull".

Well, I've only got about 1000 hours on this D2.
The first thing I did was to crack the downhill petcock and notice that a straight stream of gas was squirting out of the cock. BTDT.
I did actually try a start, but it was hopeless.

Rather than waste time, I drug it over to a "flat" spot. I always wanted to convert to direct electric start, but this one starts first pull, every time. So, I allowed the electric start urge to fade away.
After changing oil and topping up the pony tank, started right up.
The real gist of the post is to try and avoid dealing with too many details, causing an unwanted result.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
