The transmission and final drive use the same oil 80/90 gear oil and you have a plug each final drive for refill

Regrading the winch, you didn't state if it was a D4 or D4N. In either case, there are drain plugs at the lowest point on the cases on both sides. A ways above the plug on the left side, there is an oil level plug and towards the top there is a fill plug. According to the instructions, 90 wt oil is to be used. I use 80w-90 in all compartments; tranny, finals and winch.

Thanks for the info,I couldn't figure out how to fill finals with the winch.I finally found that the winch has holes all the way through to check and fill finals. The winch is a D4D

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
