I am starting to rebuild the undercarriage on this 15. I noticed that the outside rails on both the left and right undercarriage are bent to the inside towards the front. Is this typical of these?

They get beat. The flanges get thin and pitted where the idler castings need to have a nice fit. Make new ones is the best bet. Then the idlers will line up correctly and make the whole restoration look more professional. This is one of the areas I look at on a restored tractor that gets overlooked. I've made several for Fifteens Twenty-Two's and Tens.

The flanges look to be in pretty good condition. I don't see that they are anymore worn up front where the idlers mount then anywhere else on the rails. But I'm concerned about the outside rails both being bent toward the the inside. Has anybody else seen this on their pv15?

Post some pictures of what you are looking at.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
