Gees! should have pulled the whole engine and rebuilt it! Mud packed in the undercarriage, carrier rollers not even turning. What a goofball.

This Guy reminds me of a film character called "Primitive Pete". The file was shown to one of my shop classes way back in high school (Graduated in 1960) that was showing ALL of the ways that should NOT be done when fixing anything on a machine. They named the guy that did not do ANYTHING correct, Primitive Pete.
Sheesh....
At least this guy did succeed in getting the tractor going but how stupid (surprisingly), in spite of the things he did.

I watch his Youtube channel. He has built up a nice company for himself here in NY, and I'm sure he's making decent money from Youtube as well. But watching him work on equipment is very painful at times.

I must make a note to pack my D4 in wet preservative mud if I am going to let it set for a year.

Head shakes aside, this guy makes from $30K to $40K a month just off of his YT channel. 😳 Being relatable to the average Joe public is 95% of your success in the internet. I say good for him! ☺️

This guy is very popular and part of the reason (the insane desire for people to "fan" others on the internet notwithstanding) is that he hasn't been trained in anything and has had to work it out. The viewers like that sort of thing. He started out mowing lawns, and knowing just about that much. I'm sure if an "expert" told him about cleaning the tracks, he'd do it. He's not a dummy - he just doesn't know. Ignorance and stupidity are not the same thing. I'm pretty sure everyone here doesn't know something .....

Either he's a really poor mechanic and abuses tools and equipment because he's a knucklehead, or, he's doing it more for show these days to generate YT content. I think he started out the former, and turned into the later.

If he is making 30-40K a month he wouldn't be working on junk equipment! He would have all new. But the way he jerked the #$% out of trying to get that pin out and busting the counter weight on the 977 shows you what he really is!
