engine swap

hello 
i’ve got a d6b with d333a spun with spun bearings voided a lot of damage
i’ve found a engine out of a d6c it’s a turbo
 but it’s missing top end parts what i was thinking was too use the bottom end from the d6c and my top end would this work what are your thoughts ? 
the casting numbers are the same

iam in new brunswick canada and got the part’s engine for $300 bucks

Ok, understandable.

depends what's wrong it might just be a simple regrind of the crank and fit new under size bearings. that parts engine might need a crank grind anyway. only way to tell is to micrometer all the journals checking for wear and out of roundness and go from there. you could be lucky and the journals just need linishing
