There is a separate thread under "book project" if you wish to search it out and find more details.
Summary: Historical vocational fiction project underway using interactive media. Radically different than anything out there. Tom Clancy style fiction meets Chiltons service manual meets online education all in one.
I am much in need of most specifically of engine assembly/disassembly pix for 1910-1920 vintage right now. Close ups of engine components are the most sought. Prefer Holts however Best is fine. Driveline pix as well. Broken, worn, damaged are welcome and actually preferred as the story will involve "fixing". Cracks, spun bearings, worn out cams, gunked up carbs, fouled plugs, etc. If you have video clips, ESPECIALLY of poorly running engines with decent sound, that is also welcome. Credit will be given where credit is due. Pix including people/hands/mess are fine as it adds realism. My only request is to identify what make/model is being looked.
A "release" can be sent upon request. This is NOT being pursued with profit as the objective. It is about getting minds of mush to get out and DO something. Anything submitted may be altered/photoshopped for training/education/inpsirational purposes. As an example, in some cases "music videos" may be created using them or having the pic transition from your pic into CAD or vice versa.
If we can get the technology in place and a few more hurdles cleared with Peoria, an early "draft" of this "work" may be at Brownsville come fall. That however is predicated by people that make far more money, wear prettier clothes, and have a habit of making the simplest of things complex by interjecting Latin every now and then.
Please send an email thru ACMOC if interested in assisting. NO PROMISES as this project is a shoe string experiment at best. A delusion of grandeur at worst.
