good morning everyone:

does anyone have information on fitting a 7U 39098 engine into a 7U 42984 tractor . will it fit without too many modifications .what year is the 39098 .

Looks like your pretty safe to me....they both use the same later main case and same engine from 29,739 to 43,274. The 39098 is 1958 and the 42984 is 1959.
