Hi. I'm trying to determine what this engine was originally intended for. It was installed on a Paddle Wheel River Barge that was docked in St. Louis, Mo. I did some research and believe that D318 Engines with a prefix 3V were originally intended for Generators, 6V were for marine applications but I don't know what 5V applications were intended for... The person who had the Paddle Wheel boat said He believed the engine originally came out of a D6 Dozer and it was rebuilt and converted to power a hydraulic pump to run the paddle wheel motors. If anyone has any information that could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks... also, I'm kinda old school so if someone wants to call my cell its 305-780-3902 and I live in Key West, FL. Thanks...

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
