I read the sticky note on converting to electric start. I have a ? how do you know which drive you need of 11 or 12 teeth. I would like to do this on my D4 6U The Helic drive I think I need left hand drive since it would mont on the left side sitting on the Cat? I located a 42MT that I would like to use. Thanks for any info!!!

Either the 11 or 12 tooth drive will work. The 11 tooth matches the original direct start. For a while you could only get the 12 tooth but now you have the option.

You need the RH helical gear drive to mount on the LH side and a clockwise rotation starter (as viewed from the drive end)
