Eisemann Mag. for Ten

I have two Eisemann Mags, one is a GV4, the other is a G4. The parts book shows both models for the ten. I have seen the G4's on Fifteens, but was unsure of the tens. Was one model used during certain production runs?

The GV-4 replaced the G-4 ,which was used on tractors made early in the years after the merger of 1925. This info is from the Caterpillar Gas tractor restoration & interchange manual by Bob LaVoie. Hope this helps, Rick

The G4 3rd edition was one of the orignal magnetos used on the Ten (PT) and Fifteen (PV).My Eisemann book says the G4 3rd was "Supplanted by GV-4 since 1929". How long it took Caterpillar to work through the supply of G4 3rds they had on had I do not know.
