There’s a free DROTT track loader just up the road from me. Does anyone know anything about DROTT machines?
Hi, Potato Wilson.
Originally Drott made attachments for various machines. As far as I know, they were the first to make a 4-in-1 loader bucket and I think the origin of that was from the clamps on log forks in the timber industry. Pretty much all the early IH Drott loaders were built onto existing IH crawlers but later versions were purpose built units.
They had a pretty fair reputation, both for productivity and durability, especially the smaller ones but they were all lever steer, not pedal steer like the later Cat track loaders..
Do you have a model and/or serial number for the one you are looking at?
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Thanks for filling me in. I emailed the owner and never heard back, and now the listing is gone. Just as well, I have more than enough projects. Cheers!
