Tom: thank you for the great article on Don Hunter. I feel so blessed to have known Don for the past 10 yrs, and having had the opportunity to see him at his shop in Ontario completing so many projects was just amazing. Having Don bring both the 75 and No. 111 was a great shot in the arm for the Pioneer Day Tractor Committee.
I know why you wrote in the article that No. 111 was a replica, because Don being his humble self, always refered to it as a replica. I contend that because he started with an original crankshaft, that it should be considered a restoration. Just my thought.

I agree with you that it is a restoration but Don did not see it that way so I called it as Don called it. The fancy car guys will take a data plate and entirely build a car around it and call it a restoration so I do not disagree with you.

Don was a once in a lifetime kind of guy. It was a privilege to be called a friend by Don.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
