Hi guys,
I got my d2 running a lot better with new injectors, but it still won't start without a small breath of either, even when warm. I crank and crank and crank but when I put the fuel to it, it just chugs. I,m thinking I just have to accept the fact it needs rings. I spent two hours driving around freeing up the clutches and brakes then actually pushed some dirt. I,m smiling now!
I,ve done some research in the archives, but not finding my direct answer, so here,s my question for you.
When I pull my hydraulic control lever back, the blade goes down, and when I push forward, it goes up. This confuses me when I try to doze.
My diverter lever is stuck and does not move, so I don't know what it is for.
Is the diverter lever used to switch the direction of hydraulic movement, or is it to divert, fluid to other attachments, which I have none?
Do I need to disconnect the hoses and switch them around?
I want the blade to go up, when I pull back on the lever regardless of what is the right way.

Yes, swap hoses on both cylinders or on the other end of the hoses. Most likely won't even need new o-rings.

Only other thing that could be responsible for yours being backwards is if the linkage from your control lever is connected wrong. This would be with the linkage to the push rod connected to the lever above the lever pivot point instead of below. It would also mean that if you pull back on the lever, the blade should push down to raise the front of the machine and then drop it as it goes into float.

Unless this is the case, you simply need to swap the hoses.

Before you tear down for new rings you might want to run the machine a few hours with a good load and run it on the warm side close to hot as you can without cooking it. Cover part of the radiator if you have to. Nothing to lose by trying it.

Ok, guys. Will do. I,ll switch the hoses around and try to get the main real hot next time I run it.
Thank you.
