Took my D2 to the historic farm days and put 10 hours on it disking plowed ground had a lot of fun ate a lot of dust, but that's how grandpa used to do it. Even put the D2 on the dyno. Had the only D2 there. There was a D7, D6, & a Sixty There. The club was featuring Minneapolis Moline & BF Avery had good turn out. My father and I took the 1935 MMTC JT, 1946 BF Avery A, 1976 IH 1466 front wheel assist, And the 1946 D2 These are the only pics I got from my sister. Hopefully I can find the time to get a new coat of paint on the Cat.

Thanks for posting the pics. Is there ANY moisture in the soil? Folks I know from the Terre Haute area are claiming it is dreadful. Up here in Chicago, we had one storm this weekend that put about 1/2 inch down, but just in a small swath. The drought index shows that 54% of the crop in Illinois is in bad shape and 71% in Indiana is threatened. This is a bad, dry year in the Midwest

Yeah it is super dry down here the corn is terrible the beans might have a chance if we get some rain soon. I got 3/4" on fathers day and that is the last rain I have had. I have been building fence and have to water the holes to get the loose dirt out. The hay crop was only 1/3 of last year.

I was glad to see the D2 at the show. It did look pretty lonely when I saw it among the Deere's and Farmalls. At least there were some trucks with Cat motors not too far away from it. I could only go over for a while on Friday, so the Ten stayed home. I saw the Sixty coming in as I was headed out. Any idea who's it was?

Pretty dry here as well, but I think we got a couple 1" rains in June that folks East and South of us didn't get. Dad said one guy back home got 4" on Friday and the guy less than a mile down the road from him only got 0.2" Even after 4" there wasn't any water standing in the fields, they just soaked it right up!

Yes B4-its a mess. I70 is "always" the dividing line it seems for rain and snow. Further south of Terre Haute, (Sin City prohibition days), is even worse. It sickening to see the corn shrivel up or see it cut for silage. At least it can be used for something if gotten soon enough.

Keep an eye out for food costs upcoming Fall and Spring-Lack of hay is already causing people to get rid of cattle one at a time or by the herd. Lack of grain will perpetuate that symptom, I think. I've got a buddy who sowed left over soy beans seed, planted that and baled it. We'll see if what happens if the rain comes and the bottom land crops are wiped out.
